Ports
What’s the difference between parallel and serial ports?

Parallel portstramsit eight bits (one byte) of data at a time along eight parallel lines.
These ports can connect for a device that sends or receives several bits of data simultaneously by using more than one wire.
These are used to connect devices that send and receive large amounts of data such as printers and disk drives.

Seriel Ports: these ports transmit one bit of data at a time using only one communication line.
These are used to connect peripheral devices such as ouses, keyboards and modems. (devices that do not send and receive large amounts of data)
